Connect Perplexity

Perplexity takes remote MCP connectors by URL. Adako is one address and a sign-in.

Steps

  1. Open the Perplexity desktop app and go to Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Add a connector. Enter Adako as the name and the URL below as the MCP server URL.

  3. Complete the Adako authorization screen in the browser.
  4. Start a new thread and switch the Adako connector on for it.
Untested: connector support depends on your Perplexity plan and app version. If the app offers no connector settings, use Adako from another client or over the REST API.

Ask for something read-only first. This call is free and changes nothing.

You should get back what is connected, which account is active, and two or three prompts worth trying next. If nothing is connected yet, the answer says so and links to the Connections page.

When a write comes back as a proposal

Under the inbox policy, a write returns a proposal id and a diff instead of a result. Say “approve it” in the chat, or open Approvals and put your seal on it there. Under direct, your confirmation in the chat is the approval.
