Connect Gemini

Gemini reaches Adako as a custom app. You paste one URL and sign in; the ad-platform tokens stay on our side.

Steps

  1. Open Gemini on a computer and go to its apps settings.
  2. Scroll to Custom apps at the bottom, choose Add a custom app, paste the MCP server URL below, and click Next.

    MCP server URL

    https://adako.ai/mcp
  3. Complete the Adako authorization screen, then accept Google’s notice about third-party MCP servers. Leave the Advanced features credential fields empty: Adako registers itself.
  4. Start a new chat, type @, and pick Adako so the prompt reaches it.
Adako never sends your ad platform tokens or keys to the client. The custom app holds an Adako token only.

Test it

Ask for something read-only first. This call is free and changes nothing.

first prompt
@Adako tell me which ad accounts are connected.

You should get back what is connected, which account is active, and two or three prompts worth trying next. If nothing is connected yet, the answer says so and links to the Accounts page.

No Custom apps section?

Google is rolling custom apps out gradually and lists its own conditions: a personal Google Account (not a work or school one) with Keep Activity on, in English, in the United States, and 18 or over. If the section is missing, use Adako from another client — the same URL works everywhere.

On a phone

Open the menu, then Settings & help, then Connected apps. Custom apps sits at the bottom there too; Add a custom app takes the same URL.

When a write comes back as a proposal

Under the inbox policy, a write returns a proposal id and a diff instead of a result. Say “approve it” in the chat, or open Approvals and approve it there. Under direct, your confirmation in the chat is the approval.
