Find out why Google Ads conversions dropped or costs jumped.

Adako is an MCP server that connects Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants to Google Ads. Ask why conversions dropped or cost jumped. It splits the change across campaigns, devices, networks, countries and search terms, ranks every segment by its share of the change, and tells you where to look first.

課題The problem

Why this is slow by hand

A drop in the account total has a cause somewhere smaller: one campaign, one device, one country, a handful of search terms. Finding it by hand means five reports, the same two date ranges set in each, and a column of subtractions.

The opposite answer matters as much. When the change is spread evenly across everything, the cause is usually seasonality or the auction, and cutting budgets inside the account will not bring it back.

手順How it works

What Adako runs, step by step

  1. 01

    google_explain_performance_anomalyRead · free

Reads the period you name and the same number of days before it. By default that is the last 7 days against the 7 before them.

  2. 02

    google_explain_performance_anomalyRead · free

Splits the change in one metric across campaign, device, network, country and search term, and ranks each dimension’s segments by their share of the total change.

  3. 03

    google_explain_performance_anomalyRead · free

Names the segment when one carries more than 40% of the change. When none does, it says the change is spread out and points at seasonality or an auction-wide shift.

  4. 04

    google_get_device_performanceRead · free

Follows up on the dimension that moved, for the full numbers behind it. Campaign, geo and hourly reports work the same way.

Every write is a proposal first. Nothing reaches Google Ads until you approve it, and then it runs once and is read back.

実例Example

What asking looks like

You ask

“Why did conversions drop last week?”

Adako answers

Conversions moved from 184 to 131 (−53) against the week before. The change is concentrated: campaign “Generic US” accounts for 62% of it, and device “Mobile” for 58%. Look there first.

CampaignNowBeforeChangeShare of change
Generic US4174−3362%
Competitor terms1221−917%
Brand6366−36%

Conversions keep arriving for days after the click, so the most recent days understate them.

An example exchange. The account, names and figures are invented; the columns and the rules behind them are the ones the tool returns.

料金Cost

What it costs

It is one read and costs nothing. The search-term split is the slowest part; ask without it when you want a faster first answer.

Reads are free on every plan. A write takes tasks from the plan’s monthly allowance.

限界Where it stops

Limits worth knowing

Read the safety model
  • It explains one metric per question. Ask again for CPA after asking about conversions.
  • It compares two windows of equal length. It does not model seasonality or forecast.
  • The most recent days understate conversions and overstate CPA, because conversions arrive after the click.
  • It reads and explains. A fix it leads to, such as a budget change, is a separate proposal.

質問FAQ

Questions people ask

Why did my Google Ads conversions drop?

Usually because something changed in one place: a campaign lost impressions, mobile traffic stopped converting, one country or a group of search terms fell away. Ask Adako and it measures how much of the drop each campaign, device, network, country and search term accounts for.

How do I compare Google Ads performance week over week?

Ask for the last 7 days against the 7 before. The comparison is the default here, and any range up to 92 days is compared with the same number of days before it.

Can it tell seasonality from a problem in my account?

Not with certainty. It tells you whether the change is concentrated in one segment or spread evenly across all of them. A change in one campaign is usually an account change; an even spread usually is not.

Does asking why a metric moved change anything in my account?

No. It is a read. Any change you decide on afterwards comes back as a proposal and waits for your approval.

Connect Google Ads and ask the question. The reads are free.
