Find the Google Ads keywords that spend and never convert.

Adako is an MCP server that connects Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants to Google Ads. Ask where the budget is leaking. It lists the keywords that spent real money with zero conversions, leaves out campaigns that are still learning, and pauses the ones you pick once you approve.

課題The problem

Why this is slow by hand

Google Ads does not flag a keyword that keeps spending with no conversions. It sits in the keywords table beside the ones that work, and tomorrow’s budget goes to both.

Two things make a quick audit wrong. A new campaign has not had time to convert, and an account with broken conversion tracking shows zero conversions everywhere. Adako’s rule leaves out the first and tells you to check the second.

手順How it works

What Adako runs, step by step

  1. 01

    google_list_conversion_actionsRead · free

Checks that conversion tracking records something. When every keyword shows zero conversions, the tracking is the problem, not the keywords.

  2. 02

    google_analyze_wasted_spendRead · free

Scans the keywords by spend over the period. A keyword is flagged when it spent at least the floor, recorded zero conversions, and sits in a campaign that started more than 14 days ago.

  3. 03

    google_analyze_wasted_spendRead · free

Totals the zero-conversion spend per campaign, so you see where the waste sits before you read single keywords. Keywords in newer campaigns are listed apart as learning.

  4. 04

    google_bulk_update_keyword_statusWrite · 1 task, after approval

Pauses the keywords you choose, up to 300 in one call. The preview looks up every id and shows the keyword text, match type and current state. Pausing keeps the keyword and its history.

Defaults

Every write is a proposal first. Nothing reaches Google Ads until you approve it, and then it runs once and is read back.

実例Example

What asking looks like

You ask

“Where are we wasting money in Google Ads? Last 30 days.”

Adako answers

Floor: $46.00, the cost of 20 average clicks. 14 keywords spent above it with no conversion, $1,932 in total. 3 keywords in a campaign that started 9 days ago are left out as learning.

Pausing them is one proposal. Nothing changes until you approve it.

An example exchange. The account, names and figures are invented; the columns and the rules behind them are the ones the tool returns.

料金Cost

What it costs

Both checks are reads and cost nothing. Pausing the keywords you pick is one write, whether it pauses 3 keywords or 300.

Reads are free on every plan. A write takes tasks from the plan’s monthly allowance.

限界Where it stops

Limits worth knowing

Read the safety model
  • The rule is zero conversions. A keyword with one expensive conversion is not on this list; ask for keyword performance against a CPA ceiling instead.
  • It reads the keywords you bid on. A wasted search term inside a keyword that converts is the negative keyword job.
  • Conversions that arrive days after the click can take a keyword off the list later, so a period ending yesterday is the least settled.
  • Adako pauses keywords. No tool deletes one.

質問FAQ

Questions people ask

How do I find wasted spend in Google Ads?

List the keywords that spent money over the last 30 days and recorded no conversions, leave out campaigns still in their first weeks, and check conversion tracking before you trust a zero. Adako runs that as one free read and returns the keywords, the spend behind each and the total per campaign.

Why does the audit skip new campaigns?

A campaign in its first 14 days is still learning and has not had a fair chance to convert. Its keywords are listed separately and never offered for pausing.

Why is the spend floor counted in clicks rather than dollars?

A fixed $10 means a lot in one currency and almost nothing in another. The floor is the cost of 20 average clicks in your own account, so it means the same whatever the currency. You can set a higher figure; a lower one is raised to the floor.

What if every keyword shows zero conversions?

Then conversion tracking is almost certainly broken, and pausing keywords would stop campaigns that may be working. Adako checks the conversion actions first for this reason.
